Whether your end users are on-site, at home or mobile, they expect instant access to resources. The performance of your wide area network (WAN) is essential to your company’s continued success. We can build customized wide Area Networks that
supports multiple applications (Video, Data, and Voice).
Reliability, speed of access and stability must not be taken for granted. It requires
professional resources to achieve this, yet it is likely those resources could be better deployed in profit making business activities.
Six Telecoms has successfully implemented new and improved WAN/MAN solutions that enable our clients to communicate better than they did before. More importantly, for every implementation, we have been able to show cost effectiveness.
Our IP-VPN service runs in conjunction with our MPLS platform to ensure we keep all your private data, private without changing your infrastructure.
The IP transit service offers sped diversity on a massive global scale. Getting the best performance is reliant on the quality of the network that’s delivering the service, and you get prices by dealing with the network owner. With our involvement / participation
in the SEACOM, TEAMS and EASSY projects, we have brought faster, cheaper and efficient services.
Key Features
Resilience
However, speed is no good without stability, so you’ll be pleased to know the network is fully diverse with multiple routes, including terrestrial and submarine links which means we can provide you with a truly resilient transit service.
With the landing of the third sub-marine cable into East Africa, Six Telecoms has braced itself by activating the fourth backbone connectivity to the internet.
We run the network surveillance, monitoring and customer service from dual operations centers in different countries. This enables us to ensure business continuity and make sure we’re always available to give you the best service possible.

Port Interfaces – Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, STM-1, STM-4, STM-16
BGP Communities – Traffic manipulation for global transit customers
DoS protection – Available to all customers as part of their IP service.
IPv6 enabled network
We have also invested in ensuring our network is native IPv6 enabled. So you can have both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic across the same network. We further support this with extensive
IPv6 peering relationships giving you a truly future proofed service.
MPLS
Multi Protocol Label Switch (MPLS) has created huge advancements in VPN technology. It uses the traditional high performance of switched networks, but makes them ‘IP aware’ meaning it can integrate with any technology both now and in the future.
Designed to carry all IP traffic, MPLS has taken the best elements of older generation technologies such as frame relay or ATM. It has combined their traffic to deliver high performance and simplistic routing of traffic with the considerable advantages that IP networks bring. Advantages that include self discovery of end points and automatic resilience by re-routing around network failures. And as MPLS can carry many different types of traffic through its advanced quality of service, your voice video and data networks can all be integrated to one physical infrastructure.
